چکیده

The transport of pesticides from application areas to other results in pesticide contamination and this sort has led unexpected environmental problems worldwide. It is important determine the responses phytoplanktonic organisms these chemicals for an understanding effects on aquatic ecosystems. In study, Arthrospira platensis Gomont cyanobacteria were exposed different concentrations cypermethrin (0-50 µg mL-1) deltamethrin (0-2 mL-1). Changes chlorophyll-a concentration, absorbance OD560, antioxidant parameters (SOD, APX, GR, MDA, H2O2, proline) determined under exposure. Our showed that there a decrease OD560 content proportionate increase levels. Superoxide dismutase enzyme activity decreased with Cyp Dlm A. cultures. Glutathione reductase also applications but did not change application. Ascorbate peroxidase increased treatments applications. Although malondialdehyde hydrogen peroxide contents applications, they Proline conclusion, more toxic than applied.

Antioxidant effects of Spirulina platensis (Arthrospira platensis) on ‎cyclophosphamide-induced testicular injury in rats

Cyclophosphamide (CP) is known to reduce fertility. The protective effects of Spirulina plantesis (SP) against CP-induced testicular toxicity were investigated. Male Wistar rats were categorized into eight groups (n = 7). Four groups of rats were administered CP at a dose of 5 mg in 5 mL distilled water kg-1 per day orally. Two of these groups were received SP (500 and 1000 ...

Effects of microelements (Fe, Cu, Zn) on growth and pigment contents of Arthrospira (Spirulina) platensis

A laboratory experiment was conducted to assess the bioaccumulation of microelements Fe 2+, Cu 2+, Zn 2+ and their effects on the growth and pigment contents of Spirulina platensis in Zarrouk’s media. The mentioned metals concentrations enhanced separately to tenfold of the Zarrouk’s content. The results indicated no differences in the dry weights for the different medias (p>0.05). A rapid incr...

The phycoremediation of textile wastewater discharge by Chlorella pyrenoidosa H. Chick, Arthrospira platensis Gomont, and Chaetoceros calcitrans (Paulson)

Textile wastewater discharge is one of the big aquatic pollution problem in Indonesia. Although treatment had been applied to reduce the concentration of pollutants, the textile wastewater discharge often still keep the concentration of pollutant that is above the limit for the usage of the river water. Phycoremediation, the use of microalgae to clean up the wastewater, had been developed and a...
